E-Learning Developer and LMS Consultant – Birmingham, AL

MainStreet Family Urgent Care currently operates 20+ clinics throughout Alabama and Georgia, and we will more than double that number by 2022. Beyond 2022? The sky’s the limit!

Initial Priorities:

  • 54% – Hit the ground running with LMS re-boot:
    • Update training curricula and content library for Medical Assistant/Clinic Staff training, New Hire Onboarding programs, and capture full value of Absorb LMS
    • Update video library and create corresponding assessments and transfer materials
    • Help us move from narrow LMS functionality and outdated information to successfully meet evolving learning needs
  • 31% – Design and develop learning solutions to include:
    • eLearning, instructor-led training, action learning, blended learning, etc. in areas such as soft skills, customer service, and operational knowledge
  • 15% – Manage critical learning and development programs

Critical Information:

  • The role involves working in our Birmingham AL Headquarters and 10% travel – Open to remote option (GA, AL) for the right person who is willing to travel to HQ at times
  • Job title agnostic – If a different title helps you manage your career and deliver results for Mainstreet, we are open to shaping
  • Bring experience working across multiple learning designs and e-authoring tools

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, Workforce Learning, Organizational Behavior, Industrial & Organizational Psychology, or Related field, AND 3-years proven experience as an eLearning designer with LMS configuration and administration experience.
  • Or
  • 5+ years developing eLearning solutions and LMS configuration/administration can be considered in lieu of Master’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing eLearning content for leaders (all levels) and entry-level hourly employees (Asynchronous & Synchronous)
  • Strong Learning Management System (LMS) experience, especially configuration
  • Advanced knowledge of Absorb LMS administration and management strongly preferred
  • Experience developing hybrid learning model curricula
  • Advanced knowledge of standard eLearning development tools and software (i.e., Articulate Storyline, 360 and Presenter, Adobe Captivate)
  • Experience producing, editing, scriptwriting, and voice-over for training videos
  • Experience developing Instructor Lead Training Materials (i.e., Job Aids, Activity sheets, Quiz creation, Training Manuals, Facilitator/Trainer Guides)
  • Experience creating learning paths/journeys, mastery of instructional design/adult learning
  • Knowledge of interactive learning methodologies (like CCAF), rapid instructional design methodologies (like SAM), or instructional design methodologies (like ADDIE)

Other Fun Stuff You Will Do:

  • Help build learning measurement strategy
  • Consider ways to leverage elements of social-, micro-, and mobile learning to ensure our programs reach desired outcomes
  • Use instructional strategies such as scenarios, simulations, and case studies in eLearning and in-person classrooms
  • Create and maintain learning asset library for current/future training development
  • Update and continuously improve our instructional video library
  • Support the design, development, and delivery of instructor-led training, action leaning programs, and capstone projects
  • Consider personalized learning paths and talent management for merging careers
  • Create and drive LMS impact in numerous high-profile programs including, but not limited to New Hire Onboarding, Emerging and Senior Leader Development, and Healthcare Provider and Clinic Staff training
